Room 13 DreamBig Excursion

On Friday 9th May, Room 13 took the train to the city for an exciting day out.
Our first stop was a show called 'Whalebone', which was all about saving memories and what happens when they're lost. The performer was really funny, and we all had a good laugh.
After the show, we walked down to the River Torrens and started eating our recess. Some volunteers approached us and invited us to try another activity. We quickly packed up and climbed a lot of stairs to reach the 'Musical Plants' display.
At the 'Musical Plants', we learned how to draw music in different ways and used this to play music by touching the leaves or soil of the plants. It was amazing! We even played some tunes together, with one of the instructors acting as our conductor.
We then had 15 minutes to eat our lunch before heading to our final activity. When we arrived, they were running a bit late, so we got to play on the large outdoor games. Once the session started, the instructors talked to us about topics we liked, such as the NBL, Mario, girls' stuff, AI and crafting. We then created our own radio shows on these topics, which were broadcast for everyone to hear. It was really interesting and everyone had a great time.
After a quick dash to the train station, we boarded the train home. The ride back was much quieter than the morning journey.
A big thank you to Bernie, Bayden and Phoebe for helping out on the day.
We all had the best time and can't wait for our next excursion!
