Reception Class Adventures with Jeff the Police Dog!
This term in Reception has been full of excitement and imagination – all thanks to our very special class friend, Jeff the Toy Police Dog! We were lucky enough to receive Jeff as a gift from Policeman Rhys after our excursion to the Road Safety Centre last term.
Every weekend, one lucky child has the chance to take Jeff home for a mini adventure. From family outings to cosy nights in, Jeff has been everywhere! He’s been out to dinner, joined in with school soccer, helped with shopping, met pets, and even snuggled up to watch a movie or two. Wherever he goes, Jeff always manages to find some fun – and lots of cuddles!
The children have been fantastic at documenting Jeff’s weekends. With the help of their families, they’ve taken some brilliant photos and written about their time with Jeff. These special memories are all added to our Jeff’s Room 10 Adventures Journal, which is growing fuller each week!
Not only is this a lovely way to share time with Jeff, but it’s also helped our little learners build confidence in their speaking and writing. Every Monday, we enjoy hearing about Jeff’s latest adventures, and the children love seeing their photos and writing proudly displayed.
A big thank you to all the families who have helped make Jeff’s weekends so much fun!. We can't wait to see where he ends up next term!
Keep wagging, Jeff!
